సింహం-నక్క-ఎలుగుబంటి దీనిలాంటి కథే ఒకటి స్కాంద పురాణంలో ఉంది ఇది చదివాక, మంచి-చెడు, ధర్మం-అధర్మం గురించిన ఆలోచనలు రేకెత్తించే
అద్భుతమైన ఆ కథ ను కూడా చదివి చూడండి.
గండకీ నదీ తీరంలో దట్టమైన ఒక అడవి ఉండేది ఆ అడవిలో ఒక నక్క
- ఎలుగుబంటు చాలా అన్యోన్యంగా ఉండేవి నక్క ముసలిది సొంతగా ఆహారం సంపాదించుకునే
శక్తి దానికి ఇప్పుడు లేదు ఎలుగుబంటిది మంచి మనసు తనకి దొరికిన ఆహారంలో తన
మిత్రుడైన నక్కకూ కొంచెం పెట్టేది అది, ఒకనాడు నక్క , ఎలుగుబంటి కలసి ఆహారం కోసం అడవిలో తిరుగుతూండగా ఆకలిగొన్న సింహం ఒకటి వీటికి
ఎదురైంది పరిస్థితిని గమనించిన ఎలుగుబంటి, నక్కతో మిత్రమా, నక్కా..... నువ్వేమో ఇప్పుడు పెద్దగా ఎటూ కదలలేని పరిస్థితుల్లో ఉన్నావు.
ఆ సింహమేమో ఆకలిగొని ఉన్నది మన వైపే వస్తోంది దానికి
చిక్కామంటే అంతే అందుకని నువ్వు నా వీపును కరచుకో నేను ఈ మహావృక్షాన్ని ఎక్కుతాను
అన్నది. ఆ సరికే భయంతో వణుకుతున్న నక్క ఎలుగుబంటి మాటలు వినగానే తటాలున దాని
వీపును కరచుకున్నది ఎలుగుబంటి చకచకా చెట్టు ఎక్కేసింది చెట్టుపైన కొమ్మల్లో
ఎలుగుబంటి - నక్క కదలక మెదలక ఉండగా చెట్టుకింద సింహం వాటివైపే చూస్తూ కూర్చున్నది
ఎలుగు - నక్క చెట్టు దిగలేదు సింహం ఎంతకీ పక్కకు కదలలేదు.
ఇంక కుదరదు అనుకున్న ఎలుగుబంటి, చెట్టుపైనే కొన్ని కొమ్మలు విరిచి, పడుకోవడానికి ఒక పక్కను
ఏర్పాటుచేసింది చీకటిపడ్డాక అది నక్కతో మిత్రమా.... సింహం పంతం కొద్దీ ఇక్కడే
కూర్చున్నది ఇంత పెద్ద చెట్టును అది ఎక్కలేదు అయినా ఈ రోజంతా మన జాగ్రత్తలో మనం
ఉండాలి మనలో ఒకరు నిద్రిస్తే, ఇంకొకరు కాపలాగా మేలుకొని ఉండాలి
అన్నది నక్క సరేనన్నది. అప్పుడు ఎలుగుబంటి వయసు పైబడ్డ దానివి ముందు నువ్వు
నిద్రపో అర్ధరాత్రి దాటాక నిన్ను నిద్ర లేపి, ఆపైన నేను నిద్రపోతాను
నువ్వు కాపలా కాద్దువు అని నక్కతో అన్నది నక్క సరేనని గాఢంగా నిద్రపోయింది
ఎలుగుబంటి కాపలా కాస్తూ కూర్చున్నది.
చెట్టుక్రిందనే వీటికోసం ఆశగా ఎదురు చూస్తూ కూర్చున్న సింహం
కొంతసేపు అయ్యాక ఎలుగుబంటితో అన్నది ఓ మిత్రమా, ఎలుగు బంటీ నువ్వు ఆ ముసలి
నక్కకి కాపరివని నాకు తెలుసు అయినా నా మాట విను నువ్వు గానీ ఆ నక్కను కిందకి
తోసేశావంటే,
నేను దాన్ని తినేసి వేరే అడవికి వెళ్ళి పోతాను అట్లా నా
ఆకలీ తీరుతుంది నీకు ఆ ముసలినక్కకు ఆహారం తెచ్చిపెట్టే బరువూ తగ్గుతుంది అని
ఎలుగుబంటి టక్కున జవాబిచ్చింది చూడు, సింహరాజా ఈ ముసలి నక్క
నాకు ఎంత మాత్రమూ భారం కాదు.
నేను తినే ఆహారంలో కొంచెం మాత్రమే దానికి ఇస్తున్నాను అది
నన్నే నమ్ముకుని బ్రతుకుతోంది నామీద నమ్మకంతో అది ఎంత హాయిగా నిద్రపోతోందో చూడు
"ఏ జీవికీ నిద్రాభంగం కలిగించకూడదు అది మహా పాపం" నిద్రలోనే కదా, అన్ని ప్రాణులూ బడలికను పోగొట్టుకొని హాయినీ, సుఖాన్నీ
పొందేది నేను దీన్ని మోసం చేయటం అసంభవం ఎన్ని రోజులైనా సరే నన్ను నమ్మిన ఈ నక్కకు
నేను తోడుంటాను అని అంతలోనే రాత్రి మూడవ జాము ప్రవేశించింది. ఎలుగుబంటి నక్కను
నిద్రలేపి,
తాను పడుకున్నది.
కొంత సేపటికి, ఎలుగుబంటి నిద్రపోయిందని
నిర్ధారించుకున్నాక, చెట్టు క్రింద ఉన్న సింహం ఈసారి నక్కను
పలకరించింది నక్కబావా నువ్వు మాంసం తిని ఎన్ని రోజులైందో గదా ఈ ఎలుగుబంటి తను
తినదు నిన్ను తిననివ్వదు నాకు తెలుసు. నా మాట వింటానంటే ఓ సంగతి చెబుతాను నువ్వు
ధైర్యం తెచ్చుకొని ఆ ఎలుగుబంటిని కిందికి తోసెయ్యి నేను దాన్ని చంపి తిని, మిగిలిన మాంసాన్ని నీకూ పెడతాను నువ్వూ తినొచ్చు మీలో ఎవరినో ఒకరిని తినకుండా
ఇక్కడినుండి కదలకూడదని నేను ఎలాగూ నిశ్చయించేసుకున్నాను నా నిశ్చయం ఎంత దృఢమైనదో
నీకు తెలుసు తెలివైనదానివి ఆలోచించి నిర్ణయం తీసుకో ఆ ఎలుగును తోసెయ్యి అన్నది, నక్కను ప్రలోభ పెడుతూ.
నక్క కాసేపు ఆలోచించి- ఎలుగుబంటిని కిందికి తోసేసింది.
కిందపడ్డ ఎలుగు దగ్గరకొచ్చి నిలబడి, సింహం ఎగతాళిగా నవ్వుతూ ఎలుగుబంటీ, చూశావా ఎంత చెప్పినా
నువ్వు ఆ నక్కను కిందికి తోసెయ్యకపోతివే అది చూడు, నిన్ను
ఊరకనే కిందికి తోసేసింది చూస్తివా, నక్క తెలివి అన్నది.
ఎలుగుబంటి విచారంగా నవ్వి, సింహరాజా ఆ ముసలినక్క ఎంతో కాలంగా నన్నే
నమ్ముకొని బతుకుతోంది ఈరోజున అదేదో చేసిందని దాని నమ్మకాన్ని నేను వమ్ము చేయను
ఎందుకంటే నామీద నాకు విశ్వాసం ఉంది నేను కౄరజంతువునే కానీ ఏ ప్రాణికీ కావాలని హాని
తలపెట్టను నా మంచితనం వల్ల నాకు హాని వాటిల్లదు అనేది నా విశ్వాసం.
నువ్వు నన్ను ఒక్కసారిగా చంపి తిని, నీ ఆకలి తీర్చుకుంటావు నాకు కలిగే బాధ కేవలం ఆ క్షణం మాత్రమే కానీ నక్క...
దానంతట అది క్రిందికి దిగలేదు మరి చెట్టు మీద దానికి ఆహారమూ దొరకదు చివరికది
ఆకలితో విలవిలలాడుతూ చస్తుంది లేదా చెట్టు మీది నుండి క్రిందపడి ఎముకలు విరిగి
చస్తుంది ఇది సత్యం.
ఇక ఈ నక్క తెలివైనది కాదు అనేది స్పష్టం దానికి ఉన్నది
కేవలం మోసపూరితమైన ఒక ఆలోచనే తప్ప, తెలివి కాదు నిజానికి నక్క
తిక్కది అందుకనే ముందుచూపు లేక, ఈ పనికి ఒడి గట్టింది అన్నది ఎలుగుబంటి, ధైర్యంగా నేను నిన్ను తినకుండా వదిలేస్తాను మరి ఇప్పుడయినా చెట్టెక్కి నక్కను
క్రిందికి తోసేస్తావా అంది సింహం అలా చేయను ఎందుకంటే, మోసం చేసినవాడు తనంతట తానే నష్టపోతాడు అని దీని ద్వారా అందరికీ తెలియాలి
అన్నది ఎలుగు బంటు.
ఇన్ని విషయాలు తెలిసిన నిన్ను తింటే అది నాకు మంచిది కాదు
నాకు వేరే ఆహారం దొరుకుతుందిలే నీ దారిన నువ్వు పో అని బయలుదేరింది సింహం
ఎలుగుబంటి కూడా తన దారిన తాను వెళ్ళింది ,నక్క మాత్రం అటు చెట్టు
దిగలేక, ఇటు ఆహారమూ లేక అలమటించి, చివరికి క్రిందికి దూకే ప్రయత్నంలో
ప్రాణాలు విడిచింది.
Lion-Fox-Bear There is a story like this in Skanda Purana. After reading this , read the wonderful story that evokes thoughts about good-bad , righteousness-unrighteousness.
There was a dense forest on the banks of river Gandaki. In that forest, a fox and a bear were very friendly. The old fox did not have the power to get food on its own. The bear was good-hearted and gave some of the food he found to his friend the fox. One day, while the fox and the bear were roaming in the forest for food, there was a hungry lion. Faced with these, the bear noticed the situation , friend with the fox , the fox..... You are now in a situation where you cannot move much further.
That lion is hungry and is coming towards us and that's the trap, so you scratch my back and I will climb this great tree. Just then, the trembling fox heard the words of the bear and scratched its back.
The bear , who thought he couldn't do it anymore , broke some branches on the tree and made a side to sleep. When it got dark, he was a friend of the fox.... The lion sat here as the lion was sleeping, but he didn't climb this big tree. We should be careful all day. If one of us sleeps , the other one should be awake. . Then the bear grew old and said to the fox that first you sleep, after midnight I will wake you up , then I will sleep, you don't need to watch, the fox slept soundly, the bear sat watching.
After a while, the lion who was waiting for these under the tree said to the bear, "My friend , Bear, I know you are the shepherd of the old fox, but if you listen to me and push the fox down , I will eat it and go to another forest, so that my hunger will be satisfied, and I will bring you food for the old fox." The bear replied that the weight will be reduced. Look , this old fox is not a burden to me, Lion King.
I give it only a little of the food I eat. It trusts me and lives. Look how comfortably it sleeps with its trust in me. "It is a great sin not to disturb the sleep of any creature." It is only in sleep that all living beings lose weight and find comfort and happiness. It is impossible for me to deceive this fox who has trusted me. Just then the third jamu of the night entered saying that I will accompany him. The bear wakes up the fox and goes to sleep.
After some time , after making sure that the bear was asleep , the lion under the tree greeted the fox this time saying, Fox, how many days has it been since you ate meat, this bear will not eat you, I know. If you will listen to me, I will tell you one thing. Take courage and push that bear down. I will kill it and eat it , and you can eat the rest of the meat . putting
The fox thought for a while and pushed the bear down.
Standing close to the fallen bear , the lion was laughing mockingly , the bear said, no matter how much you say, you will not push the fox down, look at it , it just pushed you down , that is the wisdom of the fox. The bear smiled sadly and the lion king said that the old cat has trusted me for a long time and today I will not betray its trust because I have faith in myself.
You kill me and eat me at once and satisfy your hunger. The pain I feel is only for that moment but the fox... It does not come down on its own and it does not find food on the tree. Finally it dies of hunger or falls from the tree and breaks its bones. This is the truth.
It is clear that this fox is not intelligent, it only has a cunning idea , it is not smart, in fact, the fox is cunning because it does not have foresight , it is hard to do this . By this everyone should know that he will lose on his own is a bear pawn.
It is not good for me to eat you who knows so many things. I will find other food. Go your way. The lion and the bear also went on their own way , but the fox could not get down from that tree , it was hungry and finally died trying to jump down.
