The Bundle of Sticks | కర్రల మోపు
English Story
Once, there was an old man who lived with his three sons in a village. Although his sons were hard-working, they were always fighting with each other. The old man tried to make them stop, but he failed.
One day, the old man became very ill. He called his sons and asked them to bring him a bundle of sticks. When they brought the bundle, he asked each son to try and break it. Each son tried with all his might, but none of them could break the bundle.
Then, the old man untied the bundle and gave a single stick to each son. "Now, try to break it," he said. They each broke their stick very easily.
The old man looked at them and said, "My sons, if you stand together like the bundle of sticks, no one can harm you. But if you are divided and fight, you will be broken as easily as these single sticks."
Moral: Unity is strength.
తెలుగు కథ (Telugu Story)
అనగనగా ఒక గ్రామంలో ఒక వృద్ధుడు తన ముగ్గురు కొడుకులతో కలిసి నివసించేవాడు. అతని కొడుకులు కష్టపడి పనిచేసేవారే కానీ, వారు ఎప్పుడూ ఒకరితో ఒకరు గొడవపడుతుండేవారు. ఆ వృద్ధుడు వారిని వారించడానికి ప్రయత్నించినా ఫలితం లేకపోయింది.
ఒకరోజు, ఆ వృద్ధుడు తీవ్ర అనారోగ్యానికి గురయ్యాడు. అతను తన కొడుకులను పిలిచి, ఒక కర్రల మోపును తీసుకురమ్మని కోరాడు. వారు ఆ మోపును తీసుకువచ్చినప్పుడు, దానిని విరగ్గొట్టమని తన కొడుకులకు చెప్పాడు. కొడుకులు తమ శక్తినంతా ఉపయోగించి ప్రయత్నించారు, కానీ ఎవరూ ఆ కర్రల మోపును విరగ్గొట్టలేకపోయారు.
