🌳 The Giving Tree (త్యాగగుణం గల వృక్షం)
Once there was a tree and she loved a little boy. Every day the boy would come to the tree, eat her apples, and sleep in her shade. The tree was very happy.
As the boy grew older, he wanted things. First, he wanted money. The tree said, "I have no money, but you can take my apples and sell them." The boy did, and the tree was happy. Later, the boy wanted a house. The tree said, "Cut off my branches and build a house." The boy did, and the tree was happy. Then the boy wanted a boat to travel. The tree said, "Cut down my trunk and build a boat." The boy did, and the tree was happy.
Many years later, the boy returned as an old man. The tree said, "I have nothing left to give you—no apples, no branches, no trunk." The old man said, "I don't need much now, just a quiet place to sit and rest." The tree straightened herself up and said, "Well, an old stump is good for sitting and resting. Come, Boy, sit down and rest." The boy did, and the tree was happy.
Moral: Selfless love knows no bounds, and nature gives everything to sustain us.

చాలా సంవత్సరాల తర్వాత, ఆ బాలుడు వృద్ధుడిగా తిరిగి వచ్చాడు. చెట్టు ఇలా అంది, "నీకు ఇవ్వడానికి నా దగ్గర ఇప్పుడు ఏమీ లేదు—పండ్లు లేవు, కొమ్మలు లేవు, కాండం కూడా లేదు." అప్పుడు ఆ వృద్ధుడు, "నాకు ఇప్పుడు ఎక్కువ ఏమీ అవసరం లేదు, కూర్చుని విశ్రాంతి తీసుకోవడానికి ఒక ప్రశాంతమైన చోటు ఉంటే చాలు" అన్నాడు. అప్పుడు ఆ చెట్టు తన మొదలును చూపిస్తూ, "కూర్చుని విశ్రాంతి తీసుకోవడానికి ఈ పాత మొదలు చాలా బాగుంటుంది. రా, ఇక్కడ కూర్చుని విశ్రాంతి తీసుకో" అంది. అతను అలాగే కూర్చున్నాడు, ఆ చెట్టు ఎంతో సంతోషించింది.
నీతి: నిస్వార్థమైన ప్రేమకు హద్దులు ఉండవు, ప్రకృతి మనల్ని కాపాడటానికి తన సర్వస్వాన్ని ఇస్తుంది.
