STORY READING
తెలివిలేని గాడిద
అనగనగా ఓ ఊళ్లో గాడిద ఉండేది. తనకు తాను
చాలా తెలివైన గాడిదగా భావిస్తుండేది. ఓ రోజు గాడిద యజమాని ఓ ఉప్పు బస్తాను దానిపై పెట్టి
వేరే చోటుకు తరలించాలనుకున్నాడు. మార్గ మధ్యలో ఓ చిన్న సెలయేరు దాటి వెళ్లాల్సి ఉంది.
ఇలా గాడిద ఆ ఉప్పు బస్తాను మోసుకుంటూ వెళుతుండగా దానికి ఓ ఆలోచన తట్టింది. వెంటనే ఆ
ఉప్పు బస్తాను నీటిలోకి పడేసింది. దీంతో సగం ఉప్పు నీటిపాలైంది. మిగిలిన ఉప్పు బస్తాను
తిరిగి గాడిదపై పెట్టగా అది చాలా తేలికగా అనిపించింది. గాడిద చాలా సంతోష పడింది. ఇలా
ప్రతిరోజు ఈ గాడిద ఉప్పు బస్తాను నీటిలో పడేయడం... తేలికగా మారిన ఉప్పు బస్తాను సంతోషంగా
మోసుకెళుతూ ఉండేది. అయితే గాడిద అతి తెలివిని పసిగట్టిన యజమాని ఓరోజు దూది బస్తాను
ఆ గాడిదపై పెట్టాడు. ఈ బస్తాను కూడా ఆ సెలఏరులో పడేస్తే మరింత తేలికగా మారుతుందని భావించిన
గాడిద... ఆ దూది బస్తాను నీటిలో పడేసింది. అయితే దూది నీటిలో మునగడంతో నీరు మొత్తం
దూదిలోకి చేరి అది బరువుగా మారింది. ఇక ఆ బరువును మోయడంలో ఆ గాడిద చాలా ఇబ్బంది పడింది.
ఓ గుణపాఠం నేర్చుకుంది. ఆ తర్వాత ఎప్పుడూ ఇలాంటి వేషాలు వేయకుండా పని సరిగ్గా చేయడం
ప్రారంభించింది

Foolish Donkey
There was a donkey in a village. He thought he was a very smart ass. One day the owner of the donkey wanted to put a bag of salt on it and move it to another place. In the middle of the route, a small selayer has to be passed. While carrying the bag of salt, the donkey had an idea. Immediately she dropped the bag of salt into the water. Half of the salt was watered. The rest of the salt sack was put back on the donkey and it felt very light. The donkey was very happy. Every day this donkey threw a bag of salt into the water... it happily carried the bag of salt that became lighter. But the owner, who sensed the donkey's intelligence, put a cotton sack on the donkey one day. The donkey thought that it would become lighter if he threw this bag in the cellar... he threw the cotton bag into the water. But when the cotton was immersed in water, all the water got into the cotton and it became heavy. The donkey had a lot of difficulty in carrying that weight. A lesson learned. After that she started doing the work properly without ever pretending like this
Moral: It would be foolish to think that luck is always on our side
