Answer:        Telugu books = 468

English books = 655

Total books = 468 + 655 = 1,123 books

 

22. Solve 32 × 4 using the expanded form method.

Answer: Expanded form of 32 = 30 + 2

(30 × 4) + (2 × 4)

= 120 + 8 = 128

 

23. Solve the problems given below:

i) 49 ÷ 7

Answer: 7 (Since 7 × 7 = 49)

ii) 72 ÷ 8

Answer: 9 (Since 8 × 9 = 72)

 

24. Rahul is measuring the length of his new pencil using a scale. He places one end of the pencil at the '2 cm' mark, and the other end reaches the '13 cm' mark. What is the actual length of Rahul's pencil? Explain how you found the answer.

Answer:        The actual length of the pencil is 11 cm.

Explanation: To find the length, subtract the starting point from the ending point. (13 cm - 2 cm = 11 cm).
