అనగనగా ఒక గ్రామం. ఆ గ్రామంలో రామయ్య అనే ఆయన ఉండేవాడు. అతను కుండలు చేస్తూ తన కుటుంబాన్ని పోషించేవాడు. వారిది చాలా బీద కుటుంబం. రామయ్యకు ఒక కొడుకూ, ఒక కూతురూ ఉండేవారు. వారిద్దరినీ బాగా చదివించి ప్రయోజకుల్ని చేయాలని రామయ్య కలలు కనేవాడు. కొడుకు పదవ తరగతి పూర్తి చేయగానే వాడిని కాలేజీలో చేర్పించాడు. కానీ కొడుకుతోపాటు కూతుర్నీ చదువులకు పంపటం రామయ్యకు బరువనిపించింది. అంతేకాక, ’ఆడపిల్ల చదివి ఏమి చేస్తుంది’ అని రామయ్య అభిప్రాయం. దాంతో అమ్మాయిని చదువు మాన్పించాడు.
అబ్బాయి కాలేజీకివెళుతూ, సినిమాలూ, షికారులకూ తిరిగి మొదటి సంవత్సరం తప్పాడు. రామయ్య బాధపడ్డాడు. రెండవ సంవత్సరమన్నా బాగా చదువుతాడేమోనని ఆశపడ్డాడు. ఈసారి అబ్బాయిగారు అన్ని పేపర్లూ తప్పాడు. బాగా చదివే కొడుకు ఇలా అన్ని పరీక్షల్లోనూ తప్పడానికి గల కారణాల్ని విచారించి తెలుసుకున్న రామయ్య, ఇక లాభం లేదని కొడుకును చదువు మాన్పించాడు. అతనికి నాణ్యమైన కుండలు చేయటంలో మంచి శిక్షణను ఇప్పించాడు. వాటిని మంచి ధరకు అమ్ముకోవటం ఎలాగో కూడా నేర్పించాడు. అబ్బాయికి కష్టపడటంలోని తియ్యదనం తెలిసి వచ్చింది. ఇప్పుడు బుద్ధిగా ఇంటిపట్టున ఉంటూ పనీపాటా చూసుకుంటున్నాడు.
అయితే తన సంతానాన్ని చదివించలేకపోయాననే బాధ రామయ్యను అనునిత్యమూ బాధించింది. అమ్మాయినన్నా చదివించి ఉంటే ప్రయోజనం ఉండేది గదా అనుకునేవాడు. అయినా ఇప్పుడేమీ పరిస్థితి చేయిదాటిపోలేదు కనుక, అమ్మాయిని తిరిగి బడిలో చేర్పించాడు. అమ్మాయి చదువులో బాగా రాణించింది. త్వరలోనే మంచి ఉద్యోగమూ సంపాదించింది. రామయ్య ఆనందానికి అవధులే లేవు. ఇప్పుడు తన కొడుకూ పనిచేస్తున్నాడు; తన కూతురూ సంపాయిస్తున్నది!
అందుకే తల్లిదండ్రులంతా ’అమ్మాయేకదా’ అని తక్కువగా అంచనా వేయకుండా కూతుర్లనీ చదివిస్తే ఎంతో సంతృప్తిని తమ సొంతం చేసుకోవచ్చు. తల్లిదండ్రులారా! మేల్కోండహోహోహోహోహో
ie a village. There was a man named Ramaiah in that village. He supported his family by making pottery. They are a very poor family. Ramaiah had a son and a daughter. Ramaiah dreams of making both of them well-educated and useful. He enrolled his son in college when he completed his tenth standard. But Ramaiah found it difficult to send his son and daughter to study. Moreover , Ramaiah's opinion is that ' what does a girl do after reading ' . So he made the girl educated.
The boy went to college , returned to movies and strolls and missed the first year. Ramaiah was hurt. He hoped to study well even in the second year. This time the boy failed all the papers. After investigating the reasons why his son, who studied well, failed in all the exams, Ramaiah made his son stop studying because it was no longer useful. He gave him good training in making quality pottery. He also taught them how to sell them at a good price. The boy learned the sweetness of hardship. Now he stays at home wisely and takes care of the work.
But Ramaiah and Anunitya were also saddened by not being able to educate their children. He thought that it would have been beneficial if the girl had been educated. However, as the situation was not out of hand , he enrolled the girl back in school. The girl excelled in studies. Soon she got a good job. Ramaiah's joy knew no bounds. Now he is working for his son ; His daughter is earning!
That's why all parents can get a lot of satisfaction if they educate their daughters without underestimating whether they are ' girls ' . Parents! Melkondaho ho hoho ho
