అడవికి రాజు సింహం? గజరాజు ?
ఒకానొక అడవిలో ఒకే బలమైన సింహం వుండేది. దానికి తనతో సమానులు
ఎవరు కూడా ఆ అడవిలో ఉండకూడదనుకొని అక్కడినుండి మిగిలిన సింహాలన్నింటిని
తరిమివేసింది.
ఇక ఆ మొత్తం అడవి లో తను ఒక్కడే..సింహం.
ఇక ఆ అడవికి రాజును తానే అని విర్రవీగుతూ
ఇష్టంవచ్చినట్లు జంతువులను వేటాడుతూ
అడవి జంతువులను భయభ్రాంతులకు గురిచేయసాగింది.
సింహం అరాచకాలను సహించలేని జంతువులన్నీ సమావేశమై సింహం బాధను
తప్పించుకోడమెలాగా? అని ఆలోచించాయి.
అప్పుడో కుందేలు " సింహానికంటే కూడా శక్తికలిగిన ఏనుగును రాజును చేసి
మన రక్షణ భారాన్ని రాజుకప్పగించేస్తే సరి " అని సూచించింది. కుందేలు సూచన
అందరికీ నచ్చింది. అందులకు గజరాజూ అంగీకరించాడు.
వెంటనే ఈ క్షణం నుండి అడవికి రాజు ఏనుగని అడవంతా దండొరా వేయించారు. దండోరా విన్న సింహం ఉడుక్కుంది. హా నన్ను ఎవరూ ఏమీ చేయలేరు.. నన్ను ఎదిరించే
ధైర్యం ఎవరికీ లేదు అని ఊరుకుంది.
రోజులు గడుస్తున్నా సింహం అరాచకాలు తగ్గక పోవడంతో గజరాజు కోతిని సింహం
దగ్గరికి రాయబారిగా పంపి మూడు రోజులలో అడవిని వదలి వెళ్ళాలని లేనిచో తీవ్ర
పరిణామాలను ఎదురుకోవలసి వస్తుందని
చెప్పమంది. కోతి రాయబారం విఫలమైంది . యుద్ధం అనివార్యమైంది.
యుద్ధానికి సిద్ధపడుతూ గజరాజు
తొండాన్నెత్తి పెద్దగా ఘీంకరించింది. రాజు ఘీంకారాన్ని విని ఆ అడవిలొని ఏనుగులన్నీ
చేరుకున్నాయి, రాజుకు బాసటగా నిలిచాయి.
గజాలన్నీ ఒకచోటకు చేరుకోవడం చూసి సింహం
దిక్కులు పిక్కటిల్లేలా గర్జించింది.
కాని ఒక్క సింహమూ రాలేదు. ఉంటే గదా
వచ్చేందుకు (తనే కదా అహంకారం తో అందరిని దూరం చేసికొన్నది)
ఒంటరిదైన సింహాన్ని ఏనుగులగుంపు చుట్టుముట్టి తొండాలతొ కొట్టాయి. కాళ్ళతో
తొక్కాయి. తన బలహీనత అర్థమైన సింహం ఓటమిని అంగీకరించి ఆ అడవిని వదలిపోవడానికి
ఒప్పుకొన్నది. మిత్రులు యెవరూ అండగా లేకుండ చేసుకున్న తన మూర్ఖత్వానికి తానే
తిట్టుకుంది.
అందుకే అందరితో స్నేహం గా మెలగాలి....
